How to Run Your TikTok Shop Winners as Meta Ads (Skip New UGC)

If you already have proven sales on TikTok Shop, your best Q4 creative strategy on Meta isn't a new batch of UGC. It's the TikTok Shop videos that already sell. Run them as Meta ads, ideally as partnership ads from the creator's handle. They're pre-tested with real buyers, and you skip weeks of sampling, reviewing and approving.

Why Q4 is the wrong time to start a UGC pipeline

Every Q4 I watch brands do the same thing. CPMs climb, creative fatigues, and someone decides the fix is more UGC. So they spin up a UGC platform, send out product, and wait.

Count what that actually costs your team:

  • Sampling product to creators
  • Responding to creators
  • Watching videos, including a lot of bad ones
  • Approving the ones that are usable
  • Building each one out in ad campaigns

That's weeks of work before a single new ad has spent a dollar. And at the end of it, every video is still a guess. You don't know which ones sell until Meta tells you, on your budget, during the most expensive weeks of the year.

TikTok Shop already ran your creative test

If you sell on TikTok Shop, you're sitting on something most brands pay to build: a library of creator videos with sales attached to them.

A TikTok Shop video with real GMV has already done the hard part. It stopped the scroll, explained the product and got someone to buy, without your brand's logo doing the work. That's the same job you need a Meta ad to do.

Too many brands think what happens on TikTok Shop stays on TikTok Shop. I've written before about treating creators like an ad unit on Meta. Your TikTok Shop winners are the fastest place to start.

What this looked like at Willow Boutique

Here's a live example from Willow Boutique's Meta account. In the same creator campaign:

  • The two videos the creator submitted through Trybe are running at about a $50 CPA.
  • A video that had already proven itself on TikTok Shop is running at about a $20 CPA.

Same creator, same campaign, less than half the cost per purchase. It's one campaign, and CPAs move, but it lines up with what I keep seeing: content that already sold beats content made to order.

Where UGC platforms like Trybe fall short

To be fair to Trybe, it does what it says. It's a performance-based marketplace: creators make videos for your brand, and you get a steady supply of new content for Meta.

The problem is what you're buying. Every video is new, so none of it has a sales record. You still review every submission, decide what's worth testing, and build the ads in Ads Manager yourself. And the platform has no idea which of these creators' videos already sell on TikTok Shop, which is the single best signal you have.

For a brand with no TikTok Shop history, that trade can make sense. For a brand with proven TikTok Shop sales, it's paying for guesses when you already own answers.

How to run your TikTok Shop winners on Meta

  1. Rank your TikTok Shop videos by sales. Start with GMV, not views. A video with a million views and no orders is entertainment, not an ad.
  2. Get permission to use them. Confirm the creator is OK with paid use on Meta, and get the raw file if you can. Videos with commercial music often can't run as paid ads.
  3. Request partnership ad access. Partnership ads run from the creator's handle, which usually performs better than your logo. The creator needs a linked Instagram account to accept. Many TikTok Shop creators don't have one, so run those videos as regular ads from your brand's Page instead.
  4. Launch paused, then test against your current best. Trim the video for Meta's placements, write copy, match the landing page and launch paused. Then run it against your top ad, not in a vacuum.
  5. Scale the ones that hold. Not every TikTok Shop winner wins on Meta. The hit rate is still far better than starting from zero.

Doing it without the busywork

You can do all of this by hand: download videos, chase creators for permission, upload, build ad sets. Or you can use a tool like Cruva, which already holds your TikTok Shop creator relationships and their sales data.

In Cruva you can send creators a program join link, request partnership ad access, trim each video and push it straight into Meta as a paused ad. Performance syncs back daily, so you can see which creators are winning on both platforms. You get the same benefit you'd get from a UGC platform, creator-led partnership ads, without the sampling and review cycle, and with the sales signal built in.

When new UGC still makes sense

This isn't an argument against ever making new content. Commission new UGC when:

  • You don't have TikTok Shop sales yet.
  • You're launching a product with no videos behind it.
  • You need a new angle your current creators haven't covered.

But if your creators are already driving sales on TikTok Shop, start there. In Q4 the cheapest creative is the creative that's already proven it works.
